Sun on its cooler phase.

I like the colors in this picture. And the symmetry. It also reminds me of a painting of Van Gogh I saw in the Neue Pinakothek in Munich. Being philosophical you could also see an allegory of life and death in this picture – as if the road to the sun is “behind bars” (represented by the trees) and the only way one can walk is toward this strange blue light at the end of the “tunnel”. Even the colors could suggest such an interpretation. I think there was also something about right and left – in some cultures you don’t start walking with the right leg (or the left, I don’t remember which one) because it brings bad luck or has something to do with death.
